By reading and accepting
the terms outlined herein, you agree to be bound by these rules for as long as
you use the any services provided by Pridestorm Entertainment, including, but
not limited to, our message board system.
- This site is a fantasy world and should be treated as such. Beyond the
out of character forums provided for you, do not discuss real life. For
example, sports and the size of your hard drive have no bearing in any of the
role play areas of the site.
- Vulgarity/profanity, sexual content, etc, is NOT monitored. We are
not babysitters. If you are offended by such content and aren't
intellectually equipped to skip over such posts or will be horribly offended
by glancing at one feel free to enjoy a game that is designed for
children. The only thing we will not tolerate is bigotry based on the
people behind the character. Racism, religious intolerance (whether it's
someone who doesn't believe, someone who believes but doesn't believe in your
god, or someone who does believe and is insulting to people who don't),
sexism, etc will NOT be tolerated. Depending on the severity of your
comments you may not be warned at all and just removed. Confine your
comments to Pridestorm events or to your own personal experiences that you
want to share and you have nothing to worry about.
- You are playing a character. As such your name is expected to stay within
the realm of a fantasy world. You are not allowed to use the following as
names:
- Real life names such as Joe or Sally.
- Existing words such as Death, Dragon, or Zealot or combinations thereof.
- Non-common names from books, movies, or television, dark ages, etc.
IE Merlin is not acceptable
- Modifications to existing words or names, including adding numbers or
changing letters. If the name you want is taken don't just change a
letter. I'd be pretty pissed if I saw a Calbraner.
- The easiest thing to do is picture a character from Lord of the
Rings saying your name. Can you see Aragorn saying SilentKiller or
Timmy?
- Exceptions can be made for exceptional role players or people who
can justify it. In all honesty my longest running character comes from
Final Fantasy IV. Two sets of dolls. 3 Cal, 3 Brena and if you
kill them in the wrong order they became Calbrena. So it would be
hypocritical for me to not at least be willing to listen. However that
is provided you are willing to contact staff first and wait for a reply.
If you jump in with your name you will be asked to change it.
- Lastly check the New Player forum for the RPG FAQ. Or you can
try ICQ/IMing someone from the boards for help. Most people will be
willing to help if they aren't busy. If you get one of our asses you can
just block them.
If you, knowingly or unknowingly, violate the rules set forth in this
document, you agree to accept any disciplinary action enacted upon you by the
administration of Pridestorm Entertainment. Repeated violations will result in
your removal from the Pridestorm Entertainment site, with all rights and privileges
revoked.
